UNFORGIVEN deserves its status without question, and I've long felt also that A PERFECT WORLD is one his very best films and one of his most underappreciated. It has beautiful modulated emotion in it. And good points about Costner. It's easy to forget how good he can be when so often he's come off, both off-screen and on, as an asshole. Have to say I've never seen THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY from start to finish. As much as I like Eastwood (and Streep) it's probably the thought of the source material that put me off (never read the book) but I'm gonna have to give the whole film a try.scott adlerberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10997101672313963063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3961352325595827919.post-73938936245183025112013-04-21T11:11:41.385-05:002013-04-21T11:11:41.385-05:00I found Unforgiven to be predictable throughout. I think the first movie Eastwood directed, Play Misty for Me, might be his best, and Breezy, though not a great film, is underrated.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
